KidCarpet.com Warranty

Kidcarpet.com Rug Warranty

1. Lifetime Limited Wear Warranty

Kidcarpet.com warrants that its rugs will not experience abrasive wear resulting in the loss of more than 10% of the yarn for the lifetime of the rug, starting on the date of purchase. “Abrasive wear” means fiber loss caused by friction from normal foot traffic, not changes in appearance such as crushing, matting, staining, or fading.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Tears, burns, cuts, pulls, pilling, matting, or damage from improper use
  • Damage caused by incorrect cleaning agents or methods
  • Damage caused by heavy industrial use or misuse
  • Damage caused by neglect or failure to follow care guidelines
  • Damages caused by improper installation
  • Rugs on stairs or outside areas

2. Thirty‑Day Manufacturing Defect Warranty

If you discover a manufacturing defect within 30 days of receiving your rug, we will replace it at no cost.

If the same design is unavailable, you may:

  • Wait for it to return to stock, or
  • Choose another design of equal value

3. Binding & Serging Warranty — For the Life of the Rug

We stand behind the craftsmanship of our rug edges. For the life of the rug, Kidcarpet.com warrants that the binding and serging will not unravel or separate under normal use.

Shipping for Binding/Serging Claims

  • Kidcarpet.com will cover shipping costs within the continental United States associated with binding or serging repairs.
  • Customers outside the continental United States are responsible for all shipping costs.
  • All warranty repairs must be sent to Kidcarpet.com’s designated repair facility, as instructed at the time a claim is approved.
  • After repair or replacement, Kidcarpet.com will ship the rug back to you at no charge (within the continental U.S.).

Optional Self‑Repair Tips

Minor edge issues can sometimes be touched up at home:

  • A small dab of glue from a glue gun applied to the exposed area might secure a loose binding
  • If serging is lightly frayed, lightly melting the frayed fibers can help reseal them

4. Care & Cleaning Guidelines

To keep your rug looking its best and maintain warranty coverage:

  • Do not open the package with a sharp object
  • Avoid dragging furniture across the edges
  • Prevent children or pets from pulling on binding or serging
  • Before floor cleaning, ask cleaners to roll up and remove the rug.  Hard surface cleaning equipment can cause the binding and/or serging to become damaged.
