How good is the quality of KidCarpet.com carpet and rugs?

Some “big box” retailers offer “rugs” with children’s designs that are really just very thin, cheap mats. Our kid’s carpets and classroom rugs are much higher quality.

Our nylon carpets/rugs are similar in thickness and feel to the carpet most people have in their home (cut pile carpet), except that they are strong enough to be used in a commercial setting (such as movie theaters, hotels or airports). These are the most durable and stain resistant children's carpets and area rugs in the industry.

A note about the colors we use: You may notice that we do not use as much yellow or other light colors as the other suppliers of kid’s rugs. This is because we know from experience that yellow will begin to look dirty far more quickly than darker colors (no matter who makes the rug or how it is dyed).

Serging Warranty:
Serging is the thread that is sewn around the edges of our rugs to give them a decorative finish (as opposed to loose carpet ends). The serging around our rugs are made from the strongest fiber on the market. Unfortunately, however, it can still be damaged. Damage can result from many things, such as: cutting it with a sharp edge during opening, some types of abrasive cleaning equipment, children picking at it, etc. Therefore, our warranty on the serging is as follows: Customers can ship the rug to us at their expense (usually about $20 to $70, depending on the size). We will then repair the serging for free. We will then ship the rug back to you for free. Care must be taken not to vacuum over the serging. If you prefer, it is suggested that repairs be made using a hot glue gun at the first sign of fraying. This will prevent the serging from fraying further.

Note: If your KidCarpet is soaked in water, the colors may run. This is not covered by warranty.
